Amidst the shine of two Lombardi Trophies, Firstrust Financial Resources recently brought together current and prospective clients and some of the financial industry’s leading minds for a night of insight, strategy, and connection.
Held in the exclusive Firstrust Bank Club inside the Philadelphia Eagles’ stadium, the event welcomed approximately 150 attendees for cocktails, a seated dinner, and a guided discussion on navigating today’s complex investment landscape. The evening concluded with private tours of the stadium and photo ops with the gleaming hardware the Eagles earned as two-time Super Bowl champions.
FFR is a subsidiary of Firstrust Bank, Philadelphia’s Hometown Bank and the Official Bank of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Erich Hickey, Chief Investment Officer of the Green Family Office, moderated the discussion and helped guide the audience through a wide-ranging conversation touching on macroeconomics, artificial intelligence, and long-term investment strategy.
Joining Hickey were three panelists with decades of high-level market experience:
- Hamilton Reiner, Managing Director and Head of U.S. Equity Derivatives at J.P. Morgan Asset Management
- Marc Nabi, Equity Investment Director and Portfolio Strategy Manager at Capital Group
- Ken Kozlowski, Managing Director and CIO at Equitable Investment Management
“We had a full house,” said Ken Beebe, Senior Vice President and Head of Portfolio Management at FFR. “The venue maxes out at about 150 people, and we hit that number. It was a great mix of existing and prospective clients, and a very successful evening of thought leadership and relationship-building.”
The discussion was organized around three main themes:
- Macroeconomic Conditions — including interest rates, the federal budget, and global political influences
- Equities and AI — examining the influence of artificial intelligence on corporate sector and capital markets
- Strategic Outlook — exploring what investors should do in the face of market highs and rising uncertainty
Among the key takeaways was a timeless but timely message: stay invested, stay diversified.
“This year’s market volatility has reinforced the importance of a long-term view,” Beebe said. “Our panel emphasized that trying to time the market is nearly impossible in this environment, but staying invested — especially near all-time highs — has historically rewarded disciplined investors.”
AI drew particular attention during the evening, with Reiner offering expert insight. With access to tech leaders like Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Reiner was able to share cutting-edge perspectives on how AI is already transforming sectors such as finance, defense, and healthcare.
Guests asked pointed questions about AI’s risks, particularly in defense and healthcare. Reiner acknowledged potential concerns, especially around AI’s use in critical systems like medicine, but emphasized the role of regulation and human oversight in mitigating those risks.
“Reiner’s point that AI is not likely to replace large swaths of workers, but rather amplify what people can do, really resonated,” Beebe said. “For business owners especially, knowing how to incorporate AI thoughtfully into their operations will be a key differentiator.”
FFR works across investment management, retirement income planning, insurance, and corporate benefits. Beebe, who has been with the firm for 17 years and leads its Investment Committee, said the event aligned with the team’s core mission: educating and empowering clients with thoughtful, actionable guidance.
“This was about helping our clients understand the big picture,” he said, “and what’s shaping markets, what to expect next, and how to stay on course in a rapidly changing environment.”
