Sandbox VR in Philadelphia offers a fun, next-level immersive gaming experience that can be enjoyed by friends, family, and even coworkers, reports Bob Kelly for FOX 29.
Located in Center City, the entertainment venue lets you step directly into virtual reality.
“We’ve got five different holodecks, perfect for groups of two to six people,” said Stacy Spec, VP of Sales and Marketing at LOL Entertainment.
The gear they have available to enhance the experience includes ankle trackers, wrist trackers, a haptic vest, and a VR headset, all of which work in sync with 3D motion capture embedded inside the holodecks.
“We have the most advanced tech here at Sandbox VR, and it tracks your every move, your whole body,” said Spec. “It’s a really, really awesome experience.”
Once inside the environment, “you’re not just watching the action, you are the action,” she added.
The rooms are also equipped with fans which enhance the experience by simulating wind while also helping to keep the players cool as they are very active during the experience.
There are nine games available to choose from, suitable for anyone depending on their preferences
The new Philadelphia location marks Sandbox VR’s 60th outpost nationwide.
