$2 Million Makeover Coming to Bluebird Distilling in Phoenixville

Bluebird Distilling has plans for a $2 million renovation in Phoenixville, featuring a complete remodel with the name Bluebird Social.

Bluebird Distilling makes plans for a $2 million renovation of its distillery in Phoenixville, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal

The project includes a full remodel of the indoor cocktail bar, featuring the addition of a new bar, a full-service Neo-Neapolitan pizzeria, and an expanded retail area.

Once renovations are completed, the site will be rebranded as Bluebird Social: Cocktails & Kitchen by Bluebird Distilling.

Despite the upgrades, Bluebird Distilling will retain its current physical footprint and seating capacity. The location currently includes a 5,500-square-foot distillery and 3,500-square-foot cocktail bar, along with a 1,500-square-foot cocktail garden.

The bar accommodates up to 120 guests, with space for an additional 40 in the garden.

The project’s goal is to create a “deeper, more dynamic guest experience” that prompts customers to spend more time at the distillery, said founder and master distiller Jared Adkins

“We’re not just expanding – we’re evolving,” added Adkins

Renovation work starts this month as Bluebird Distilling marks its tenth anniversary in operation.

Hopefully, the upgraded space will open this winter. Work will be completed in phases, allowing the existing cocktail bar and retail shop to remain open throughout the process.
