Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia graduated its largest class in over two decades during the 176th Commencement that was held on May 10, according to the school.
Held at Marian Anderson Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, the ceremony welcomed 134 new graduates, including 129 Bachelor of Fine Arts, 2 Associate of Fine Arts, and 3 Master of Arts.
“This year’s graduating class is one of the largest in Moore’s history and exemplifies the dynamic creativity and excellence that consistently defines our graduates,” said Cathy Young, president of Moore College of Art & Design. “We are proud to celebrate their unique voices, innovative talents, and the transformative power of a Moore education as embodied in these graduates who are ready to make their mark on the world.”
Fifty-two percent of the Class of 2025 graduated with honors, and 20 percent of BFA students completed their degrees with one or more minors. The graduates hail from 15 states, with more than half of them from Pennsylvania.
“Our graduates leave Moore equipped with not only strong technical and artistic skills, but also the confidence to innovate, collaborate, and make a meaningful impact,” said Claudine Thomas, chief academic officer at Moore College of Art & Design.
