This Montco City was Ranked Best Place to Live in Pennsylvania

GoBanking Rates accumulated numerous statistics to determine the most livable city in each state and Jenkintown tops Pennsylvania.

Jenkintown has been recognized as the most livable city in Pennsylvania, according to a study by GOBankingRates, writes Logan DeLoye for Q102 Philly.

The study analyzed factors like crime rates, pollution, transportation, housing market, economy, and healthcare to determine the most livable cities in each state.

With a median household income of $118,750 and a total monthly living cost of $5,197, Jenkintown stood out for its balance of affordability and quality of life. The study also considered average expenditure costs and monthly mortgage payments as part of the livability index.

Livability encompasses both financial and non-financial factors that contribute to a prosperous life, such as low crime rates, clean air, safe transportation, and good schools. Jenkintown’s strong performance across these metrics helped it secure the top spot in Pennsylvania.

GOBankingRates explained its methodology, stating, “For each city, a number of factors were found including, the household median income, the average expenditure cost and the average monthly mortgage cost to determine the total monthly average cost of living in these most livable cities.”

Jenkintown’s recognition highlights its appeal as a thriving community that combines economic stability with excellent living conditions, making it an ideal place to call home.
