New ownership is in the process of transforming the Chaddsford Winery, writes Paul Vigna for Penn Live.
In October 2024, the Chester County winery was purchased by the owners of White Horse Winery in Hammonton, NJ. Brock J. Vinton II and his father Brock have operated White Horse since 2016 and are currently managing the transition.
In combining the White Horse and Chaddsford Winery teams, the company has released a new Bordeaux, called the “Collaboration Red,” in addition to a new rosé that is expected to release for Mother’s Day.
Community members can expect many returning events from the winery, including Good Neighbor Sundays, in which residents of the 19137 zip code can purchase wines for 20 percent off on Sundays from noon to 6 PM.
Changes made within the collaboration include shifting to a new oak program to age red wines, sourcing more grapes from White Horse vineyards, and utilizing more White Horse wines at Chaddsford. While changes to the winery are coming, the Vintons still plan to preserve the legacy of Chaddsford Winery.
In combining techniques and grapes from both locations, Vinton plans to “have a PA product that is, we hope, world class.”
