Food hall brand Wonder is planning on opening ten new locations in Greater Philadelphia before the end of the year, including one in West Chester, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The New York-based brand operates delivery-focused food halls in the fast fine dining category. At any of the company’s locations, customers can order food from over 25 chefs and restaurants at the same time, including items created by renowned chefs such as José Andrés and Bobby Flay.
The food is made-to-order at the hall and can then be delivered or picked up. Some locations also have seating.
According to company Marketing Officer Daniel Shlossman, more than half of the orders come from the brand’s multi-restaurant ordering option.
Shlossman believes the company will perform well in the Philadelphia market due to the uniqueness of the concept and the growing reputation of the region as a food destination.
“It’s going to fit in really, really well alongside that diverse culinary scene in Philly,” he said.
The brand’s delivery radius is usually around eight minutes away from its urban food halls and up to 12 minutes from a suburban location.
