Beyond personal qualities, location can significantly influence a person’s chances of finding a romantic partner, and Pennsylvanians are fortunate to reside in one of the states that tries to make dating easier, writes Adam McCann for WalletHub.
To find the states that provide the best conditions for dating, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 29 metrics related to dating-friendliness, including the share of single adults, the unemployment rate for singles, and the number of restaurants per capita.
“The best states for singles are those that have strong economies while also providing a wide range of places to host dates,” said Chip Lupo, WalletHub Analyst.
Pennsylvania came in sixth place on the list of Best & Worst States for Singles. The Keystone State performed strongest in the Romance & Fun category, where it ranked fifth, followed by the Dating Opportunities category, where it placed seventh.
However, Pennsylvania ended up in the lower half for the Dating Economics category, coming in at No. 32.
Florida ranks as the best state for dating prospects, while West Virginia is the toughest place for singles looking to find love.
