Local Beer Festival Organizers and Inspire Credit Union Unite to Support Three Bucks County Charities

The Bucks Beer Bash, now in its second year, is continuing its tradition of philanthropy.

The Bucks Beer Bash has partnered with title sponsor Inspire Credit Union to support three deserving charities in Bucks County.

Last year, their collaboration raised nearly $5,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in Newtown. This year, the beneficiaries include the Network of Victim’s Assistance (NOVA) of Bucks County, the National Giving Alliance (NGA) of Warminster, and Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) Bucks County Chapter.

In its second year, the Bucks Beer Bash celebrates local craft beer, wine, and spirits and aims to continue its tradition of philanthropy. This year’s event returns to The Fuge in Warminster and will be held on March 8.

“When we first planned the Beer Bash last year,” said Sam Cravero, host of the Beer Bash and owner of The Fuge, “it was important that it included a way to reward the local breweries, wineries, and distilleries that participate; to provide a fun, entertaining, and safe experience for our guests; and also to contribute to great local causes.”

As the title sponsor, Inspire Credit Union plays a crucial role in supporting the three local charities.

“Events such as this are at the core of our mission, which is to build stronger communities,” said Jim Merrill, President/CEO of Inspire Federal Credit Union. “It is an honor and privilege to be able to support such worthwhile charities, all of whom play a vital role in our community.  As this event continues to grow each year, Inspire will remain committed to our support of the local charities that benefit from a fun-filled day for the participants.”

Recently, the three charities each received donation checks for $2,000 during a “big check” ceremony at Tranquility Brewery, located at the Fuge. Representatives from each organization expressed their gratitude for being selected as beneficiaries of the event.

“The National Giving Alliance is grateful to Inspire Credit Union and The Fuge for their generous donation and support,” said Lisa Tordo, Executive Director of NGA. “Their partnership is helping us positively change the lives of economically disadvantaged children and youth by enabling us to give them new clothes. The new clothes empower children and youth to reach their full potential. With Inspire’s and The Fuge’s support, we are building a stronger community and brighter future for the kids.”

Ray “Opie” Bates, President of BACA Bucks, added, “It is an honor to have such great support from our community, as well as the local businesses. We stand for the children; we are the voice of the voiceless. We will continue to protect the children, even if they’re not our own.”

“We are incredibly grateful to The Fuge and Inspire Credit Union for their generous support through the 2025 Bucks Beer Bash,” said Penelope Ettinger, Executive Director of NOVA Bucks. “Local business investment in NOVA strengthens our mission and ensures we can continue providing critical services to victims of crime — especially as the need for support continues to grow. Their commitment truly makes a difference.”

Tickets are still available for the Bucks Beer Bash, and a portion of the proceeds will go toward further contributions to the three charities.
