Forbes has released its tenth annual list of has America’s Best Large Employers and Philadelphia was well-represented, writes Rachel Rabkin Peachman for Forbes.
The top large employer in Philadelphia is the University of Pennsylvania, the Ivy League educational institution, which came in at No. 58.
Penn Medicine is next up, coming in at No. 74. The healthcare and social services company was founded in 1993.
Not far behind is the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, which came in at No. 79 on the list.
These are the only three Philadelphia-based employees to make it in the top 100.
At No. 240 is the drugs and biotech company, GSK, which was founded in 2000.
Nineteen spots after that is retail and wholesale company IKEA, coming in at No. 259.
Comcast, the media conglomerate, came in at No. 349.
The final Philadelphia company to make this Forbes list is insurance provider Independence Blue Cross, which came in at No. 459.
