Guests attending Philadelphia’s first escape room dinner party will need to work together to solve an intriguing mystery in order to unlock a delicious dessert to end the evening on a sweet note, writes Kae Lani Palmisano for Philadelphia Magazine.
The idea for the experience came to Eric Dale, also known as Eric the Puzzler on Instagram, after he was invited to the Maker’s Table, a networking dinner party for the city’s top tastemakers and creatives. During the evening, he met Alex Cahanap, who owns Citrine, a boutique tablescape design and rental service.
“We just started talking about what we do,” said Cahanap. “Before we knew it, we were brainstorming an escape room dinner party.”
The experience seamlessly combines the social enjoyment of a dinner party with the thrilling mystery-solving excitement of being in an escape room.
Guests are provided with a welcome drink upon arrival, before they are escorted into Citrine’s studio space, where the games begin.
The Escape Room Dinner Party is expertly crafted, featuring numerous unexpected twists and turns that are sure to delight, entertain, and keep guests engaged throughout the experience.
The next one is set for Saturday, March 1, at Citrine in Jasper House.
