CBS Philadelphia sports reporter Pat Gallen went on a quest to track all the Phillies jerseys he has seen at Citizens Bank Park throughout the season, writes Shamus Clancy for PhillyVoice.

This season, Gallen saw a total of 222 different and unique team jerseys sported this season.

“I think it started on Opening Day [2023] when I was just walking around and seeing all these different jerseys and it clicked to me,” Gallen said. “‘Hey, let’s make a list and see how many we can find.’ Then I did it this year again and it took off. Some of the names are incredible.”

The jerseys he saw featured everything from the obvious Roy Halladay jersey to a rare Ranger Suárez Venezuela Baseball Classic jersey and “Schwarbellanos” No. 128 jersey.

Gallen noted that the rarest jersey he saw was during the Phillies’ Game 2 National League Division Series win over the New York Mets. It was a Spring Training jersey of Matt Szczur.

“I’m sure people may know his story, but he was a Villanova star who won a World Series with the Cubs and then back, signed with the Phillies on a deal to play with them in Spring Training,” Gallen said.

Szczur played just one game with the team and that was the actually jersey he wore that game.
