FIGS, who announced earlier this year its plans to expand its retail footprint to the East Coast, recently opened a new store in Rittenhouse Square.
This marks the second community hub location the healthcare apparel and lifestyle brand has opened. The first was opened in Los Angeles in November 2023.
“We are thrilled to be opening our second Community Hub, and we’re especially excited to do it in Philadelphia,” said Trina Spear, FIGS’ CEO and co-founder.
The FIGS Community Hub is a reimagined retail experience that provides healthcare professionals the opportunity to shop for their apparel in a way that has not previously existed.
The new Rittenhouse Community Hub is over 4,200 square feet covering two floors and is approximately four times the size of the FIGS Community Hub in Los Angeles. It also includes a first-class shopping experience, an embroidery workshop, and a mezzanine with a lounge and cafe.
According to statistics from Philadelphia International Medicine, 1-in-6 doctors in the United States has been trained in the Philadelphia region and the city has the fourth-highest number of healthcare professionals in the country, which is why FIGS felt Philly was a natural location for it to open its first East Coast store.
“Philadelphia is truly at the heart of healthcare in the U.S.,” Spear added.
