After ruling the summer with her hit tune, Espresso, Sabrina Carpenter, a Quakertown native, is set to continue her reign into the holiday season with a Netflix Christmas special, writes Franki Rudnesky for the Philly Voice.
The famous singer and actress will star in A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter. The holiday variety music special will be available on the streaming platform on December 6.
For the special, Carpenter will perform both songs from her holiday album, fruitcake, and covers of other popular Christmas songs. The show will also feature surprise guests, comedic cameos, and duets.
“The holidays have always been so special to me,” said the singer. “I am excited to bring my take to a classic holiday variety show — infusing my love of music and comedy to make something that is uniquely me.”
The title of the Christmas special is a nod to the singer’s 2022 hit Nonsense. Carpenter is known for often making cheeky lyric changes to the popular song during her concerts. Often, she tailors songs to the venue where she is performing. So fans can probably expect to see this playful tradition continue in the special.
