Museum of Ice Cream Could Soon Be Coming to Philadelphia

The Museum of Ice Cream, which gives visitors an ice-cream-themed experience could soon be coming to Philadelphia.

The Museum of Ice Cream, a New York-born ice-cream-themed experience is scouting to bring a location to Philadelphia, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

According to MSC broker Jacob Cooper and colleague Brittany Goldberg, who is representing the Museum of Ice Cream in their search, said the company is looking specifically for a 15,000-square-foot space to occupy in the city.

If finalized, Philadelphia would be the sixth U.S. city to have a Museum of Ice Cream location.

Currently, there are locations in New York, Chicago, and Austin, respectively. Two more locations are in the works in Miami and Boston.

The Museum of Ice Cream offers an immersive entertainment experience. The concept also offers retail spaces, ice cream, and drinks, and is geared toward people of all ages.

There are also some ice cream-themed carnival games, a three-story-high slide, swings, and a history of ice cream.

The Museum of Ice Cream was founded in 2016 by entrepreneurs Maryellis Bunn and Manish Vora. It started with a pop-up across from the Whitney Museum in the Manhattan Meatpacking District, and later opened a permanent flagship location in SoHo in December 2019.

In addition to its five U.S. locations, there is also one location in Singapore.
