Forest & Main Brewing Company Takes ‘Locally Sourced’ to Heart

Forest & Main Brewing Company in Ambler not only crafts local beer, but also gets most of its material from local sources.

Pennsylvania is home to a lot of great beer, but many of these breweries source their grains and other materials from out of state. Emily Kovach of PA Eats compiled a list of all the great beer made in PA from grain to glass. Ambler’s own Forest & Main Brewing Company made the list.

Forest & Main was founded in 2012 by Gerard Olson and Daniel Endicott. The Ambler brewery specializes in farmhouse-style saisons and lagers. The brewmasters leaned into locally made ingredients. Their saison, the Solaire Reserve, is made with yeast cultured on location.

Forest & Main is split between two locations in Ambler. Their brewery at 241 N. Main Street in Ambler has a brewery bar with a full draft selection and a rotating lineup of food trucks.

Their pub at 33 E. Butler Ave also has a full draft selection, to-go beer, and darts. Guests are welcome to bring food from one of the local restaurants to enjoy with their drink.
