Get the Soup Dumpling Experience Now in King of Prussia
Now visitors to the King of Prussia Mall can sample some soup dumplings at Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings, located at the former Outback Steakhouse, reports Bob Kelly of Kelly Drives for Fox 29.
Nan Xian Soup Dumplings, owned by Nan Xian Xiao Long Bao, started with a small shop in New York back in 2006.
Eighteen years later, they now have three stores in New York, and one in New Jersey. The King of Prussia restaurant is their first store in Pennsylvania.
“Every soup dumpling that we serve is going to be made from scratch, handmade. You can actually watch them making it,” said Nan Xian.
For those trying soup dumplings for the first time, she recommends the Lucky Six, which gives customers a sampling of all the flavors they offer.
Dumpling flavors include shrimp, chicken scallops, truffles and more.
Yvonne Yang, managing partner for Nan Xian, said the trick to eating soup dumplings is to use tongs to transfer the dumpling to a spoon. Bite a hole in the top to add sauce and drink out the soup, then bite into the rest of the dumpling.
