Cree Carroll may only be 7 years old, but he’s already a member of Mensa, and he even teaches science to his nearly 16,000 TikTok followers, reports Wakisha Bailey and Rory Hardenstine for CBS News Philadelphia.
His mother, Shay Carroll, said she always knew her son was gifted.
“When he was 3, he started off with space, so he was always really interested in space,” she said. “Astrophysics and he even liked to explore and research dinosaurs.”
His interest and knowledge has since expanded to more topics, such as matter, the definition of DNA, and more.
Cree’s teachers also knew he was gifted, prompting them to test his IQ. After scoring in the top 2 percent of the general population, he was accepted into a special community of like-minded individuals.
In that time, he developed a love for sharing his knowledge, namely through his TikTok channel, “Cree TV.”
As he gets older, his mother hopes to continue fostering his potential for curiosity and learning.
“I know that Cree is very interested in coding as well as science. I’d like to just pour into his interest and keep him motivated and go from there to see where the future takes us,” she said.
