IndeVets, a Philadelphia tech-enabled veterinarian staffing agency, is looking for further expansion after growing its reach from nine states to 34 states in the last two years, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
“We definitely see us becoming a national company and an international company,” said Michael Raphael, founder of IndeVets.
The company plans to add Oregon, Washington, and Nevada to its roster of states with veterinarians by the spring.
Raphael noted that the plan is to continue expanding the company based on the needs of the animal hospitals the company works with. He and the team believe this will help take the company to most states over the next two years.
IndeVets was founded in 2018, and was created to supply veterinarians to animal hospitals and provide overworked veterinarians with more autonomy on when and where they work.
In 2023, the company posted $50 million, surpassing $100 million since its inception.
With roughly 80,000 veterinarians in the U.S., most have demanding schedules at veterinarian hospitals.
“We want to help doctors find joy again and enjoy being a veterinarian again,” Raphael said. “We give them control over their schedule that they never had before.”
