Brandon Parish, owner of the Kibitz Room in Cherry Hill is expanding his brand with a second location in King of Prussia.

The Kibitz Room from Cherry Hill is expanding to King of Prussia, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The new space will occupy the space of the former Michael’s Deli in the town center. Among all the national food chains, the new deli will fill the need for a mom-and-pop experience.

Owner Brandon Parish called the new location ‘a Jewish delicatessen on steroids.’ It will have four times the space as the original location with the ability to seat 170 people, and it will have a separate private event space for up to 50 guests.

The King of Prussia Kibitz Room will specialize in from-scratch items, including traditional Jewish dishes like kishke and smoked fish. The deli will add lunch and dinner options and plans to get a liquor license in the future.

Villanova’s Balongue Design Group is leading the renovation project. Parish invested $1 million to add a retail section and a space for offer catering for bar mitzvahs and sports events.

Parish expects the new location to employ around 60 people.
