Botld is planning to transform its Rittenhouse Square bottle shop into a cocktail bar with hopes to doing so in early- to mid-2025.

Botld, creator of the Philadelphia EaglesBird Gang Spirits, is planning big moves, including expanding its product line and transforming its Rittenhouse Square bottle shop into a cocktail bar, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The local distillery is hoping to have the new cocktail bar up and running in early- to mid-2025. Once the transformation is completed, 800 square feet of the 1,800-square-foot ground-floor space will still be reserved for a bottle shop, while the cocktail bar will take up the rest of the 1,000 square feet.

Founded in 2021 by Andrew Auwerda, Botld operates a distillery in King of Prussia that sources spirits from around the world. The company packages and distributes its products across Pennsylvania to customers, restaurants, and bars, while also wholesaling to distributors nationwide.

Botld opened its Rittenhouse bottle shop in 2022, followed by a second Center City location in Midtown Village a year later.

Last month, the distillery transformed its Midtown Village location into a hybrid retail and bar concept, which it plans to replicate on a larger scale in Rittenhouse. The new cocktail bar will seat between 40 and 45 people.
