Coffee is among the most popular drinks to consume, as a recent survey by the National Coffee Association found that about 67 percent of Americans drink coffee daily, writes Adam McCann for WalletHub.

With some coffee scenes stronger than others, WalletHub compared the 100 largest cities across 12 indicators of coffee lover-friendliness. Among the indicators included number of coffee shops and coffee houses, cafés per capita, the average price per pack of coffee, the share of residents with coffee makers at home, and more.

When it was all said and done, Philadelphia ranked as the 30th best coffee city in America. It received a 53.85 score.

Philly ranked second in Pennsylvania, with Pittsburgh finishing 13th on the ranking with a 61.29 score.

According to the ranking, the top coffee city in America is Portland, which finished with a score of 67.01. Its top ranking is in large part due to its extremely high number of affordable coffee shops with at least a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5. Portland also ranks top 10 in most coffee shops per capita that offer free Wi-Fi.
