Jawn Supply in West Chester Is a Treasure Cove for Vintage Finds

By

Ben Rowe used to love thrifting with his mom and grandmother when he was growing up, writes Gina Lizzo for Main Line Today

“I loved the thrill of the hunt and finding hidden gems,” he said.

During his senior year of high school, he found the same suit jacket that he wore to his prom at one of the thrift stores. The price was just $7, compared to the $150 he paid.

That gave him an idea that turned into a successful business. Rowe founded Jawn Supply first as an Instagram page to post and sell finds, mostly to his friends. Word of mouth soon made his page more popular and he decided to transform his dorm room at Gordon College in Massachusetts into a pop-up shop of sorts.

Eventually, he found a permanent home for Jawn Supply in West Chester. He specializes in sports T-shirts and sweatshirts. However, his favorite part of what he does are the stories attached to each item he sells.

“Vintage clothing makes you stand out,” he said. “It’s also one of the most sustainable options for buying clothes, without compromising quality.”
