All-vegan Grindcore House in Pennsport and West Philadelphia serves a selection of plant-based sandwiches and salads and some of the best vegan pastries in the entire Philadelphia region.

Kaffa Crossing in Spruce Hill is an Ethiopian coffee shop and eatery offering a full menu of organic and fair trade coffee options, along with smoothies and authentic Ethiopian dishes. Highlights include spiced scrambled eggs with beef and the ful, crushed fava beans with a spicy Ethiopian sauce.

Front Street Cafe in Fishtown has an extensive menu with a full selection of breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals, all with a plant-based twist.

For a great brunch menu, head to One Shot Coffee in Northern Liberties. Enjoy some local favorites, including breakfast burritos and their baked apple French toast.

Meanwhile, Satellite Cafe in Cedar Park serves the Bike Shop Bagel with pesto, spinach, roasted red peppers, and cream cheese that many neighborhood regulars swear by.

There’s also Rowhome Coffee in Fitler and Norris Square, known for their breakfast sandwiches made on Philly soft pretzels.
