Philly is One of the Best Cities for Nude Bike Riding, According to New Study
Just a couple months away from the Philadelphia Naked Bike Ride, a new study has found that Philadelphia is among the best cities in the nation to ride nude, writes Max Bennett for Patch.
Lawnstarter recently published a ranking of the U.S. cities for naked bike riding, and Philadelphia ranked third on the list.
To finalize the rankings, the team at Lawnstarter first determined factors most relevant to rank the Best Cities for Naked Biking, then assigned a weight to each factor based on its importance, and then grouped those factors into five categories.
The categories are: Naked Biking Popularity, Cyclist-Friendliness, Nudist-Friendliness, Climate, and Safety.
The factors were calculated and scored out of 100 points for each city to determine its rank in each factor, each category, and overall.
Philly ranked No. 1 for Nudist-Friendliness, and No. 5 for Naked Biking Popularity, but was down at No. 20 in Cyclist-Friendliness.
It ranked No. 327 and No. 337 in Climate and Safety, respectively.
At No. 3 overall, Philly trailed only Portland and Chicago on the list. Seattle and Los Angeles rounded out the top five.
The Philadelphia Naked Bike Ride will take place this year on August 24.
