West Philly Brewery and Winery, Carbon Copy, Eyes Expansion in Port Richmond
Carbon Copy, a West Philadelphia brewery and winery, wants to expand and is now eyeing the former space that housed a popular neighborhood bar in Port Richmond, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Its owners, Brendon Boudwin and Kyle Wolak, are both alums of Tired Hands Brewing Co., and together have more than 20 years of experience in hospitality, brewing, and winemaking.
Carbon Copy is Philadelphia’s first combined brewery and winery.
It debuted its brick-and-mortar location at 701 S. 50th St. in West Philly in December 2022. Its beer is made on-site in and is available on tap and in 32-ounce growlers and 16-ounce cans. Its wine is produced in Kensington and is available exclusively on draft at its West Philly location.
Carbon Copy also serves food, such as small bites and pizzas.
The vacant Port Richmond site it is eyeing is the former home to The Lunar Inn, a bar that closed late last year after 4 years in business.
The potential expansion plans in Port Richmond come as several other restaurants, bars, and breweries are in the works in the River Wards neighborhood.
