The Faces Behind a Historic Campaign
Cherelle Parker made history when she was elected the 100th mayor of Philadelphia earlier this month, writes Sean Collins Walsh for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
As the real work begins, it’s important to highlight the two most important people behind the mayor-elect’s historic campaign — Aren Platt and Sinceré Harris.
Platt began working with Parker nearly a decade ago, while Harris only since last year. Both are Mount Airy natives and share much of Parker’s political ideologies.

New Restaurant in Cobbs Creek
A brand-new food spot has opened in the Cobbs Creek neighborhood, writes Natalie Jason for 6abc.
It’s called Macho’s Delish Mix, and specializes in fresh, made-to-order salads and bowls, wraps, burritos, nachos, and fresh fruit salads among other delicious options.
Customers are also able to pick and choose ingredients to create their own combinations.

Penn is One of the Top U.S. Colleges
Stacker has put together a list of the top private colleges with the best return on investment, and the University of Pennsylvania ranked ninth on the list.
Some of the key factors that went into the calculations include the sum of all earnings 40 years after enrollment (NPV); median earnings after 10 years; and graduation rate, among others.
Penn’s 40-year NPV is $2,211,000; median earnings after 10 years is $103,246; and the graduation rate is at 96%.
