The competition will start on Saturday, November 8. That day, there will be a casting call at the Pennsylvania Convention Center’s atrium on Broad Street.
Registered contestants will fill be able to fill out recipe cards and share the stories behind the dishes, rather than the dishes themselves.
The contestants will complete in eight categories: appetizers, poultry, pasta, soups and salads, seafood, meat entrees, desserts, and “other” for more creative dishes.
The recipes will be judged based on taste, creativity, and story.
Each winner will receive $1,000 with other category prizes of $2,000. The winners will also have their names and photos appear on the restaurant’s menu and eat free as long as it remains.
