After last year’s abrupt shutdown and the chain’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant in Center City will reopen under new management, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The brewery concept will return to its longtime home at 1150 Market Street with “thoughtful upgrades,” according to Patrick Reilley, senior director of asset management at National Real Estate Advisors, which owns the building. The Iron Hill Center City location originally opened in September 2018 as part of the firm’s East Market development.
“Iron Hill has been a long-standing part of East Market, and we’re pleased to bring them back to the community,” said Reilley.
The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey approved in mid-January transfer of the Market East lease to IHB Center City, while authorizing Rightlane to assume ownership of Iron Hill’s trademarks and intellectual property.
The reopening is expected to give the struggling Market East corridor a significant boost as city officials and local businesses continue efforts to revitalize and reimagine the area.
The Iron Hill Center City location covers about 8,500 square feet and can host roughly 250 guests.
