Martin Brower, a global supply chain company, will take full occupancy of a new warehouse in Northeast Philadelphia, writes Paul Schwedelson for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The 147,000-square-foot facility with 57,000 square feet of cold storage is being constructed by Crow Holdings Development and is planned to be completed by next fall.

Martin Brower is McDonald’s largest supply chain partner in the world. The company’s owner, food and beverage distributor Reyes Holdings, also owns Reyes Beverage Group and Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling.

Once Martin Brower moves in, approximately 100 employees will be stationed at the new warehouse.

Crow Holdings Development bought the 14.4-acre site for $8 million from the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development earlier this year.

The developer designed the building to cater specifically to shifting tenant demand, according to Crow Holdings Development Senior Managing Director Clark Machemer.

The development is also in a Keystone Opportunity Zone, which provides businesses with an opportunity to apply for state and local tax abatements.

“These factors and our team’s ability to reconfigure the building’s design from traditional industrial to specialized use mid-development were key factors in securing a best-in-class tenant like Martin Brower,” said Machemer in a statement.
