Inc. has published its 2024 “Best in Business” list and out of the seven Philadelphia-area companies to make the list, one is based in the city, writes Lisa Dukart for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Proscia, based in Center City, is a firm that harnesses the power of artificial intelligence to improve how pathologists diagnose cancer.

Its software improves and streamlines the interpretation, storing, and sharing of digital images of biopsies.

Founded in 2014, Proscia’s clinical customer base is now used by over 10,000 pathologists and scientists worldwide, having raised about $84 million through four investment rounds.

Inc.’s “Best in Business” list recognizes business that had an “outside impact” over the past year based on product launches, community engagement, client outcomes, and “all-around wins,” the publication states.

This year, 241 total companies and 16 business leaders across various industry categories were included on the list.
