VinylCon! to Return to Philadelphia Nov. 23-24 at 23rd Street Armory
VinylCon!, the largest vinyl record fair in Philadelphia, is set to return to the city this weekend on Nov. 23-24, writes Chris Compendio for PhillyVoice.
The fair will take place at the 23rd Street Armory in Center City and feature more than 100,000 records from at least 70 vendors.
This will be the second time that Philadelphia plays host to the event after a successful debut earlier this year in April.
VinylCon! was founded by Philly native and record collector Kobi Waldfogel in Denver, Colorado in 2021.
Upon bringing the trade show to his hometown three years later, he managed to attract over 2,000 attendees.
Waldfogel expects to exceed that number this go around.
“It’s no secret that records are hot right now and younger people are resonating with the analog experience,” Waldfogel said in a press release. “VinylCon! is designed to be welcoming and engaging for the ‘vinyl-curious’ newcomers but also pass the smell test for the veteran collectors with more discerning tastes.”
Record sellers will be coming in from various parts of the country to highlight their collections.
Many will allow visitors to buy records to add to their own collections while connecting with other vinyl enthusiasts throughout the area.
