Two Philadelphia companies have found their place on Deloitte’s 2024 list of the fastest-growing tech firms in North America, writes Ryan Mulligan for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The ranking is based on the companies’ revenue growth from 2020 to 2023.

Philadelphia’s dbt Labs ranks as the fastest-growing tech company in the region, according to the list. Led by Tristan Handy, the unicorn reached a $4.2 billion valuation after securing $222 million in Series D funding. The company ranked at No. 77 on the list, with revenue growth of 1,756 percent from 2020 to 2023.

The company has expanded its C-suite in the past year, appointing a new chief technology officer in early 2024 after bringing in a president with IPO experience in late 2023. dbt Labs fell several spots from last year’s No. 42 ranking.

GLOBO is the second Philadelphia company to make the Fast 500 list at No. 455. The Center City tech firm offers translation and interpreting services. It recorded growth of 229 percent from 2020 to 2023.

Overall, seven Philadelphia-area companies made it to this year’s list.
