Vanguard’s Ginene Lewis Among Businesswomen Shaping Greater Philadelphia
Ginene Lewis, Assistant General Counsel at Malvern-based Vanguard Group, is one of the 36 businesswomen who are shaping Greater Philadelphia, writes Lisa Dukart for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Lewis has been entrenched in the legal aspects of the investment giant for over seven years. She served as senior counsel before she was named assistant general counsel, a position that includes managing all business litigation for Vanguard nationwide.
Lewis counsels the firm’s leadership on risk management and legal and regulatory compliance, as well as operations.
Following the recent federal securities law changes, Lewis developed dashboards through which the litigation department can track different case statuses, costs, budgets, and more to achieve greater efficiency.
For Lewis, watching those she mentored succeed is one of her proudest career accomplishments.
“For me, true success lies in making a positive impact on others and helping them navigate and excel in their professional journeys,” she said.
Her secret to success?
“Daily affirmations, which are a powerful and practical tool for shaping a positive mental outlook and driving the actions necessary for success,” she added. “One of my favorites: Maya Angelou’s saying, ‘Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.’”
