These Restaurants and Bars Make Philadelphia Magazine’s ‘Best of Philly’ List for Their Food and Drinks
Philadelphia Magazine has released the 50th iteration of its “Best of Philly” list, and many Philadelphia eateries have been selected as some of the best for food and drinks.
Cleo Bagels was selected as the Best “New” Bagel Shop. At the West Philadelphia brick-and-mortar, owner Alex Malamy churns out both inventive bagel creations like the Ramen Things sandwich, and conventional plain bagels and savory bialys.
The Franklin Fountain in Old City was highlighted for having the Best Ice Cream Cake. Beyond that, they are ice cream sculptures. In addition to the classic cakes, there are also seasonal specials like the pumpkin-flavored and shaped cake filled with gingerbread pieces, candied ginger, and spiced pecans.
The best place to get coffee and dumplings is Ray’s Cafe & Tea House.
Grace & Proper’s M For Monday is the best happy hour. It features beverages and small bites all for $8 and under. With a constantly rotating happy hour menu, it’s the perfect place to visit week after week.
Chance Anies of Tabachoy was selected Best Chef for knowing how to cook well, plate beautifully, and run a kitchen efficiently.
Illata was selected as the Best New Restaurant in the city.
