Newly Opened Wine Venture in West Chester Is the Latest Project for Seasoned Sommelier
Turks Head Wines in West Chester is the brainchild of Level 3 sommelier and certified wine instructor Allison Owen and her husband, Josh, writes Paul Vigna for the Penn Live Patriot-News.
The couple first came up with the concept for a business that sources grapes from California and sells wines in its new bottle shop and tasting room.
But Owen “decided to not only source, produce, and bottle all of Turks Head wines in California, but to create a place where people could gather and connect over their shared love of wine,” she said on her website.
The Turks Head Wines tasting room and wine lounge is a modern, comfortable space for wine lovers to explore. It is open Thursday through Sunday, with most wines being in the $28 to $58 range.
And bringing their business to West Chester was an easy decision for the couple.
“My family has lived in West Chester for over 10 years so when we decided to get into the industry, we knew that we wanted to bring the West Coast tasting room experience to our hometown,” said Owen.
