Nicole Fisher-Brown serves as an inspiration each time she steps into the ring.

Nicole Fisher-Brown spends a lot of hours with her husband Clinton Brown inside Happy Hollow Recreation Center and Boxing Gym in Germantown, writes Wakisha Bailey for CBS News Philadelphia.

Fisher-Brown is a true trailblazer. She won the 2024 Woman’s Championship in USA Boxing and currently has a 5-0 record as a novice and amateur fighter weighing in at 154 pounds.

“It’s all in or nothing,” said Fisher-Brown. “You have to trust yourself. You have to have that mindset of ‘you are a winner.'”

Her hard work, dedication, perseverance, and resilience has gotten her here, but it’s that resilience that helped her jumpstart a healthier life two years ago.

“I was 276 pounds,” she said. “It started with my weight loss journey. I had lost over 100 pounds. I want to live long for my kids. I want to make sure they grow up to see their parents there. I knew I had to take my health serious.”

Her number one fan is her husband, who believes that she can go all the way with his support and that of their two sons.

She is often praised by her husband, and even caught the attention of former World Boxing Association cruiserweight champion Nathaniel “Mr.” Miller, who also got his start at the same gym.
