Freedom Village at Brandywine sponsored and participated in the 13th Annual Golf Outing organized by the Sweet Jane’s Wish Foundation last week at the Downingtown Country Club.

The event, which raises funds for scholarships and local charitable causes, welcomed both participants and sponsors alike, with Freedom Village playing an integral role.

In addition to sponsoring the event, Freedom Village also had four of its own resident golfers participating and actively support the foundation’s mission.

Sweet Jane’s Wish Foundation uses proceeds from the golf outing to provide scholarships and contributions to local students and foundations, creating meaningful opportunities for the community.

“At Freedom Village, we are committed to giving back to the community, and we are honored to continue supporting the incredible work of Sweet Jane’s Wish Foundation,” said Mary Main, Sales and Marketing Director at Freedom Village. “We have proudly sponsored this event for five years now, and we look forward to being part of it for many years to come.”

The 13th Annual Golf Outing was a success, bringing together supporters from across the area in a fun and impactful way. The funds raised will directly benefit local causes and provide students with educational opportunities they may not otherwise have access to.

About Sweet Jane’s Wish Foundation

Sweet Jane’s Wish Foundation was founded in February 2012 and is named after Jane Gerlach Booge, who, in February 2012, was hospitalized with complications from treatments for her metastatic breast cancer.

The foundation has granted over $150,000 in scholarship awards to graduating seniors from Downingtown East, West and the Stem Academy who are furthering their education at a college, university or trade school.

The foundation has also contributed $30,000 to Living Beyond Breast Cancer and the Chester County Hospital Shine Foundation, both of which provide small quality of life grants to local women diagnosed with breast cancer.
