Here’s What’s Coming for Delaware County’s Fall Restaurant Scene

By

Despite Fall’s cool down, there’s plenty of heat coming to the region with new Fall 2024 restaurants and changes at some established favorites.

That includes four restaurants in Delaware County, writes Philadelphia Inquirer food critic Michael Klein.

Spread Bagelry’s new location in Newtown Square’s Ellis Preserve will soon have later hours and a light dinner menu.

In less than two weeks, Federal Donuts & Chicken will have its first free-standing location at 232 Radnor-Chester Road in Radnor, in a shopping center next to Honeygrow and Estia.

Delaware County natives Rory Hirst and his wife Krystal are opening Departure at 2 S. Orange St. in Media.  The new roomy bar-restaurant in an old bank building features an international small-plates menu from chef J.J. Morgan.

Testa Rossa at 919 Baltimore Pike in Glen Mills is the latest creation from Marty and Sydney Grims, owners of White Dog Cafe, Louie Louie, Autograph, the Moshulu, and more. The restaurant is a casual dining companion to their Main Line Italian restaurant Rosalie. It will specialize in pizza and house-made pasta at the Shoppes at Brinton Lake.

A second location in an old Bertucci’s on Lancaster Avenue in Wayne is planned in 2025.
