The Philadelphia Water Department has released the results of its latest Philadelphia tap water testing results.

The free report complies a year’s worth of data detailing local drinking water quality.

Based on data collected by the Bureau of Laboratory Services throughout 2023, Philadelphia’s drinking water meets all state and federal water quality standards.

The Philadelphia Water Department delivers high quality tap water to nearly 1.6 million Philadelphians each day.

The report follows Philadelphia’s tap water journey through:

  • Source & Treatment: Where the water comes from.
  • Delivery: How our experts protect and treat water as it moves from the rivers, through plants and pipes, and into homes and buildings.
  • Home: How residents can keep their water safe once it enters their home plumbing.

In addition to the results, the new report highlights:

  • PWD’s latest work monitoring PFAS.
  • A closer look at turbidity as a key component of water quality.
  • Updates on PWD’s Water Revitalization Plan.
  • A preview of major new initiatives to reduce lead in home plumbing.
