Manor College Names Stephanie Parker as Director of Dental Hygiene
Stephanie Parker, MHA has been named the Program Director of Dental Hygiene at Manor College. Parker has served as an Instructor in the Dental Hygiene program since 2019 after a career working as a Registered Dental Hygienist in private practice.
“I grew drawn to Manor because of the palpable sense of togetherness,” Parker said. “The tight-knit community here is like no other. I felt welcomed, supported, and inspired from day one. The way everyone looked out for each other, shared laughter, and rallied around common goals is simply heartwarming.”
Parker, from Hatfield, holds a master’s degree in Health Care Administration, a bachelor of science degree in Psychology, and an associate of science in Dental Hygiene. She’s currently pursuing a doctorate in Health Sciences. Parker succeeds Dr. Virginia Saunders, who retired from the same position on Aug. 2.
In the role, Parker aims to enhance the curriculum, strengthen clinical experiences, and foster a supportive learning environment. In the long term, she hopes to expand community partnerships, continue to achieve accreditation, and promote professional development.
“This community, this family, feels like home,” Parker said. “That warmth, support, and sense of belonging that captured my heart before are still very much alive. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to contribute in a greater capacity.”
Jaime Simpson, Dean of Allied Health Sciences at Manor College, said that Parker came highly recommended by fellow peers and students in Manor’s Dental Hygiene program.
“We’re excited to have Stephanie on board to carry on the legacy started by Dr. Saunders,” Simpson said. “I truly believe that Stephanie will provide innovative ideas and processes to move the Dental Hygiene program forward.”
When she’s not teaching, Parker is a mother of eight children and finds ways to spend time with them, watch them play sports, and grow.
“They are my greatest teachers and a constant source of inspiration,” Parker said.
In her quiet moments, she’s nose-deep in a good book, cooking meals as a creative outlet, or trying out a new fitness class.
As she prepares for the new role and a new school year, Parker is excited about the Dental Hygiene program’s future.
“Manor College isn’t just a place where I work, it’s a place where I belong, where I am valued, and where I can make a real difference alongside incredible people who share my passion and dedication,” Parker said. “I look forward to working with our dedicated faculty, staff, and students to achieve our goals and uphold the program’s esteemed reputation.”
