A Viral Moment Between Kylie Kelce and a 4-Year-Old With Autism
A heartwarming interaction between Kylie Kelce of Haverford and Billy, a 4-year-old boy with autism, has gone viral after it was posted to TikTok, writes TaRhonda Thomas for 6abc.
The moment took place at the Philadelphia Eagles’ opening practice at Lincoln Financial Field last Thursday, which also doubled as a fundraiser for the Eagles Autism Foundation.
Billy’s mom, Britt Bernard, who posted the video, was stunned by the response..
“My brain can’t even comprehend what’s happening right now,” she said with a smile.
The video has been seen 4.7 million times, and counting..
In the video, Billy, a young Eagles fan, approached Kylie, wife of retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, “arms wide open and yelled ‘Kylie!’” Bernard said.
Kylie knelt down and they started talking about his headphones. At one point, Billy shows her the headphones and she signs them.
“Kylie immediately gets on my son’s level which is important for any kid, especially a kid with autism,” Bernard said.
Other parents of children with autism have commented how significant it was for someone like Kylie to connect with Billy.
“It just shows to me the world someday can be a more inclusive place,” said Bernard.
