Barnes & Noble to Open New Store in Doylestown’s Barn Plaza This September
Barnes & Noble is gearing up for a grand opening in Doylestown’s Barn Plaza shopping center on September 4, 2024, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.
Despite the exterior lacking signage and the facade still under construction, the project is on schedule, according to Janine Flanigan, Barnes & Noble’s Vice President of Store Planning and Design.
The new store, occupying the former Marshalls and HomeGoods space, is part of Barnes & Noble’s latest design concept, featuring a bright and airy layout.
The 11,500-square-foot store will offer a unique shopping experience, with book rooms designed to lead customers on a journey of discovery. Each room will showcase the best books in various categories, tailored to local interests.
In addition to a diverse book selection, the store will feature educational toys, games, puzzles, vinyl, and magazines. This local-focused inventory approach allows the store to cater specifically to the Doylestown community’s preferences.
Barn Plaza, located on Route 611, is also home to Kohl’s, Pure Barre, Piccolo Trattoria, honeygrow, Gerhard’s Appliances, Mattress Firm, Club Pilates, and AFC Urgent Care.
Residents are encouraged to stay tuned for the opening of First Watch, a breakfast, brunch, and lunch chain, set to begin construction later this year at the former Applebee’s site within the shopping center.
