A recent survey conducted by SkyCity compiled a list of the best rooftop bars in the world, and Philadelphia is home to one of them, writes Max Bennett for Patch.

Bok Bar in South Philadelphia was ranked the ninth best rooftop bar in the world.

Located atop the former Bok Vocational High School, Bok Bar offers customers with a wide view of the Philadelphia skyline.

The ranking was heavily based on its rooftop views.

To create the rankings, SkyCity looked for high scoring consistency, then tallied all the responses that rated 8, 9, or 10 to come up with the top 10 list.

Bok Bar is one of only three rooftop bars in the United States to make the top 10 list.

It follows Nohu in Weehawken, New Jersey, at No. 7 and The Roof at EDITION in Hollywood, California, which was at the top.
