Beat The Bomb, an immersive team video game experience and eatery, is targeting entering Philadelphia by the end of September or early October, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
It would mark the culmination of a four-year effort to enter the Philadelphia market.
The concept would offer 10,000 square feet of gaming and dining space on the ground floor of the Bailey Building in Midtown Village on 1218 Chestnut Street.
Beat The Bomb founder and CEO Alexander Patterson said the goal is for the Philadelphia location to draw more than 100,000 customers within its first year.
“I think we’re going to fit in,” he said. “And importantly, we’re going to provide something that’s very unique, so we’re not another indoor golf place.”
Patterson is encouraged by the arrivals of mini-golf spot Puttshack and social darts venue Flight Club.
Once opened, Beat The Bomb Philadelphia will include two mission experience routes with five rooms each, five game bays, a laser maze room, and a private party room.
The Bomb Bar will serve nonalcoholic and alcoholic drinks, such as slushies and cocktails, with foods like fries, burgers, wings, and chicken sandwiches.
Beat The Bomb was first founded in Brooklyn, New York, in 2017.
