The Phillies are looking for a corporate sponsor to pay a lot to have its name on the team uniform, writes John George for Philadelphia Business Journal.
A Wawa logo on a Phillies uniform would certainly be high profile at a time when Wawa is expanding nationally into new markets. It’s planning to open 160 stores in the Midwest in the next five to eight years.

There’s the Schwarberfest spinoff from Hoagiefest with slugger Kyle Schwarber. Wawa’s also marketed merchandise in collaboration with first baseman Bryce Harper.
“We are proud of our connection with Philly sports, including the recent collaboration with Bryce Harper and Under Armour, and Schwarberfest during the Phillies World Series run,” said Jennifer Wolf, external public relations supervisor for Wawa.
Wawa is also the official hoagie of the Philadelphia Eagles.
