King of Prussia Mom Reunites with Man Who Assisted Her During Roadside Delivery
King of Prussia mom Andrenna Reid reunited with the Pennsylvania Turnpike employee who assisted her during a roadside delivery last month, according to a staff report from 6abc.
Reid started having contractions and attempted to first drop off her one-year-old son with family before going to hospital. However, baby Santana had other plans. Reid had to park the car on the side of a highway and was about to deliver her baby with no roadside assistance.
That is when Robert Stenger pulled over next to her car.
“When I finally looked down and I saw a baby, like, 90% coming into the world – I’ve never seen it before, personally, I don’t have children,” said Stenger. “It was a wild moment. I remember running back to the responder, when I was getting things for you to clean up and stuff, I was like, ‘Wow!'”
Stenger told the 911 dispatchers which mile marker they were at and waited for state police to arrive along with EMTs. The family was then taken to Jefferson Abington Hospital.
“I can’t thank him enough, there’s no words to describe how I truly feel,” said Reid. “Just to see someone there just meant everything.”
