Jason and Travis Kelce Are Now the Proud Owners of Garage Beer
Jason Kelce is not sitting still in retirement. He and brother Travis have teamed up to become “significant’ owners and operators of Ohio-based Garage Beer, writes John George for Philadelphia Business Journal.
“People crave quality and simplicity, and Garage Beer nails both for me,” Jason Kelce said in a statement. “For me, the brand fits my lifestyle.”
The beer is a 4 percent alcohol-by-volume, 95-calorie light lager beer. It comes in classic regular and lime.
The recipe came from Cincinnati. The Kelce brothers played college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats. The beer company’s headquarters is outside Columbus, Ohio.
The brand is sold in Pennsylvania and New Jersey along with several other states.
A Garage Beer goal is to expand into “dozens” more states this year.
Travis Kelce has known Garage Beer co-owner Andy Sauer for several years.
“I think everyone knows I like to have a couple beers now and then, so being an owner of Garage Beer and heavily involved in making the best light beer is exciting,” Travis Kelce said in a statement.
Bringing people together—friends, family, and fun, is what beer is all about, he said.
