Penndel Bowling Center Changes Hands: What’s Next for the Beloved Local Alley

By

After two decades of being owned and operated by David Strippoli, Penndel Bowling Center is being turned over to someone new, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times.

Strippoli announced on the Penndel Bowling Center’s Facebook page that the 24-lane bowling alley on West Lincoln Highway has new owners as of May 8.

“After 20 years here at PBC, and 25 years at the family’s center before PBC, I am retiring,” he wrote. “I wish the best of luck to the new ownership and management team. I’m certain they will take PBC to the next level of quality.”

Strippoli also used the opportunity to thank those who helped him run the bowling alley and those who supported him throughout the years.

“I would like to thank all the loyal customers and league bowlers for their patronage,” he wrote. “I owe a debt of gratitude to the staff here (past & present) for holding things together all these years. Most importantly, I want to thank my family for their support.”

Strippoli, who acquired the center in 2004 for $495,000, did not disclose who the new owner is.
