Miles Table opened its third Philly location earlier this month, making it one of the several new restaurant openings.

The Philadelphia dining scene has added several new restaurants in just the last week and more openings are on the horizon, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Miles Table is the latest addition to Michael Lynch’s bruncherie operation, which also includes South Street West and Bok Building. The new spot opens seven days a week and replaced Mercer Cafe on a corner in Port Richmond.

Edward Garcia and Jeannie Wong are moved and expanded their Queen & Rook game cafe with a vegan and vegetarian-leaning menu into the former Pietro’s pizzeria space nearby. The new operation has three floors with two bars and outdoor seating areas, full restaurant service, a huge board-game library, and a retro video game arcade.

Slice & Schmear will soon open at Korshak Bagels’ former spot at 10th and Morris Streets. It will offer bagels in the morning and square pizza the rest of the day. In a somewhat controversial move, owner Aakash Pate said he will serve bagels in the style of Los Angeles sandwiches: scooped out and open-face.

Finally, Society Hill Hotel will open its doors on May 31. It features a restaurant with a big-belly, gas-fired pizza oven.
